2025 Spray Paint Artists
Briauna William is a muralist and digital illustrator. Her work intricately weaves together the beauty of nature and the power of storytelling, all while addressing themes of community and mental health. Growing up surrounded by the serene landscapes of her environment, Briauna developed a profound connection to nature, which continuously inspires her creative endeavors. Her artwork captures the vibrant colors, textures, and rhythms of the natural world, inviting viewers to appreciate the intricate beauty and complexity of their surroundings.
Clark Stoeckley is a multidisciplinary artist whose latest work includes photographing stray cats and painting geometric abstract murals. His art has been exhibited in the International Spy Museum (Washington DC), Pratt Manhattan Gallery (NYC), apexart (NYC) Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, Emily Harvey Foundation Gallery (NYC), EIDIA House (Brooklyn), Kunsthal Charlottenborg (Copenhagen), Hartware Medien Kunst Verein (Dortmund), Revolt Gallery (Taos), and Contemporary Art Platform (Kuwait). His work has appeared in ARTnews, VICE, Hyperallergic, Associated Press, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, The Nation, MSNBC, and PBS. He earned an MFA in Performance and Interactive Media Art from Brooklyn College and a BFA in Alternative Media from Webster University. He is currently an Associate Professor of Art & Graphic Design at the American University of Kuwait, and he previously taught at Bloomfield College in New Jersey and the Brooklyn College Community Partnership.
Blockhead
Blockhead is a Chicago based graffiti artist, creating various pieces of work throughout the city and surrounding areas since 2008. Inspired by traditional graffiti styles and retro color palettes, his bold work stays up to date with the culture while paying homage to past ideas & innovators.
2025 Chalk Artists
Allison is the owner/operator of Creative Alley LLC, a painting business that adds vibrant hues and artistic flair to almost any surface. With an array of mediums and substrates at her disposal, she breathes life into interior and exterior walls, ceilings, streets, parking lots, fences, canvas and more. Allison has assisted with many large scale murals at Minnesota’s Largest Candystore in Jordan, MN and most recently has designed and painted two-interactive 3D wall and floor murals at Canvas Convergence in St. Louis Park, MN.
Brigid is a multi-disciplinary artist with a practice that includes design, illustration, and community-based projects. She believes art and design are powerful tools for functionally improving our experience of the world. Her use of visual art and design thinking connects people to the built environment, and to each other.
Brittany Shepler
Brittany has often been described as “a chemical engineer who chalks on the weekends”. She spends her workweek conducting research and her weekends covered in chalk dust. Brittany's curiosity has bled over into much of her life, and while drawing animals brings her the most joy, she often pushes herself to try new subjects and techniques.
Epic Chalk Lady is a stay-at-home mom who discovered chalk art during the pandemic. Her goal is the make the world a better place... one chalk art at a time!
Faith Belt is a multimedia artist hailing from the mountains of northeast Tennessee. She works in chalk, painting, drawing, and sculpture. She also creates and performs live shadow puppet shows. Her work, deeply inspired by ancient stories and faerie tales, seeks to create a contemplative, analog, and meaningful experience for audiences young and old. Humble materials can tell great stories!
Holland King
Holland King's love for drawing and art began at the age of 12 when he was introduced to comic books. Holland studied illustration at the San Francisco Academy of Art. After an enlistment in the Army, he settled in Tampa, Florida where he finally started painting where his work has appeared in galleries and restaurants throughout the Tampa Bay Area. His first chalk festival was the Clearwater Florida Chalk Festival of October 2015 and he has been doing this and working as a freelance artist ever since. Chalk, Acrylics, and watercolor/marker are the mediums he uses the most often.
Jade Wilson
Jade is a self-taught artist from Lindström, MN. She enjoys painting, drawing, chalk art, creating mixed media pieces, freestyle weaving with yarn and beads and more recently getting into creating wall murals. Her artwork has been described as dreamy and whimsical. Jade has participated in street chalk competitions since 2023 and live painting competitions such as Art64, many Art Battles, and is the winner of Art Battle Minnesota in October 2023 and January 2025.
Jennifer Joseph
Born and raised in MN, Jennifer is an amateur artist who loves to create large, interactive chalk designs that play with perspective and dimension. She loves the temporary nature of chalk and the process of creating something unexpected.
Jesse Garcia
Jesse Garcia draws inspiration from the city he was born and raised. Minneapolis, with its vibrant arts scene and diverse cultural communities brings life into his work. Mr Garcia's work reflects his personal journey through the city's mix of cultures, and traditions. highlighting his native and Latin heritage through graphic design and illustration.
Kendall Laurent is an emerging painter and mixed media artist currently working out of the Northeast Arts District in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Originally from Wisconsin, she graduated with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Fine Arts from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2019 and became a resident at the Casket Arts Building during the covid 19 pandemic in 2020. In her practice, Kendall is inspired by the human figure and the constant fluctuating state of a person’s sense of self. Having personal experience with identity dysphoria, her work explores how people grapple with transformations in their sense of self informed by both the physical and metaphysical world.
Lydia believes our passions should be our professions, not a pleasant pastime but a way of life. She started her fine art career painting murals and doing chalk art for festival attendees’ to enjoy and participate with. Now she is working in the Boston area as a Set Painter for IATSE Local USA829 for TV and Film. Lydia continues to fulfill her passions for creating and working with the community by painting murals, participating in chalk festivals, and teaching monthly painting classes at the Fenway Community Center. Painting in the community for community enjoyment is what her passion is all about.
Mariah Quintanilla is an interdisciplinary artist based in Auburn, California. She is largely recognized for her editorial illustrations and detailed, energetic street chalk paintings. Mariah began experimenting with public chalking at the Chalk It Up Festival in Sacramento over five years ago, and has been dedicated to creating vibrant chalk art pieces ever since. She loves being a part of a small, but tight-knit local chalking community. Her favorite part about participating in chalking events and festivals is watching people's reactions to the large-scale artworks she creates.
Melodee Strong received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in Illustration and her Masters in Arts Education from the University of Minnesota. Her multifaceted practice as an artist allows her to create using a wide range of materials and techniques, however her portfolio largely consists of children’s book illustration, portraiture, community outreach projects, and murals giving attention to diverse cultures, feminism, and social justice. Melodee has participated in many gallery exhibitions, book readings, as well as presented to an array of audiences throughout her career; including Target’s Children’s Book Festivals in Minneapolis, Los Angeles, New York, and Boston. Her illustrations have received awards from the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles and Society of Illustrators New York, and she received a Teacher’s Choice, Mom’s Choice, and Moonbeam Award for her illustrations in children’s books. She has completed over 80 mural and large-scale projects in the Twin Cities and Jamaica. She is currently teaching visual art at Franklin Middle School in Minneapolis and is an adjunct instructor at Augsburg. She earned The Minneapolis Educator Leadership Award from the Graves Foundation in 2020 and 2022.
Midway Creative is a visual artist located in the Midway neighborhood. She practices art through chalk, paint, and digital design. She finds inspiration on and off of beaten paths, from urban sidewalks to wildflower fields. In her art, she looks for balance between dark and light, movement and stillness, and reality and fantasy.
Sam
Sam is a self taught artist originally rom north-central Wisconsin who now lives and works out of St. Paul, Minnesota. She works primarily in the mediums of oil paint and chalk and specializes in brightly colored, surrealistic art pieces.
Tara is a Minnesota-based chalk artist best known for creating hyper-realistic pieces that create drama or fun. She discovered her passion for chalk art while drawing on her driveway at home during the pandemic. Her art quickly gained recognition, and she has since become known for her chalk art, fine art, and chalk art camps and programs.
