About the Festival
The Downtown Minneapolis Street Art Festival is a free and unique downtown art experience for residents and visitors that celebrates street art in all its forms. The festival takes place annually the second weekend in August and features chalk and spray art, murals, performance, craft, food and fun! We hope to see you, your friends and family for this inclusive and joyful experience in the heart of downtown Minneapolis!
New to 2024, the Downtown Minneapolis Street Art Festival is excited to welcome Jackalope Arts to the festival lineup! The indie artisan fair will bring over 100 local, hand-selected artisans to the festival streetways. Shoppers can expect to find trendsetting indie goods including original fashion and jewelry design, paper goods, innovative home decor and housewares, art, photography, food, plus much more. 2024 Artist Application
We are excited to announce that our Artist Call for the 2024 season is now live. We will be accepting applications now through end of March. Participating artists will be selected by an artist-led panel of jurors representing diverse segments of our community.

Call for Volunteers
Volunteers are critical to the festival's success and provide hospitality support to participating artists and festival goers. All you need is enthusiasm for street art, our downtown streets and the diverse audience of festival goers. All volunteers will receive a coveted Downtown Mpls Street Art Festival signature t-shirt.
